New Design Build Restaurant for FMC Technologies Ltd, Dunfermline.
WMS LTD provided all Pre Contract and Post Contract duties for FMC on this exclusive Design Build Project to provide FMC with a new restaurant facility.
The remit was initially to provide a facility for 260 people somewhere within the existing FMC Complex, positioned to service all Departments.
The site at the front of the Complex was eventually chosen by WMS as the optimum area to cater for their Clients’ aspirations.
The site itself had it’s own problems with a significant level difference to the existing office complex. Careful design allowed the design of a feature link to the restaurant via a corridor that FMC used as a statement advertising all that was significant within their organisation.
The main fire hydrant and water main ran through the middle of the proposed site and through careful negotiation with their Client’s Insurance Company by WMS Ltd, the main and hydrant were decommissioned for 4 hours to permit the diversion and recommisioning.
The Project was completed on time and on budget.
